“Success is the sum of small efforts - repeated day in and day out.” - Robert Collier
Monday:
AM: Took the day completely off today. Felt like I had a hangover all day after waking up but without the pleasure of actually drinking last night. I may have done a little to much in the past week post Covid and it caught up to me. Anyways, this arrived today. Some plans are in place for this June. Of course my coach was a little concerned on how I am feeling, comment on my training log. LOL.
Tuesday:
8:30 AM: 8 miles averaging 7:40 pace. Easy miles in the light rain over at Davidson Mesa. Got to try out my new rain jacket I bought for Hardrock and summer mountaineering. First time I have been here in about 3 months due to the fires. Depressing run seeing all the houses gone around the mesa. Super chill just jogging. It seems I have forgot how to run somewhat will all the hills and power hiking last week. First few miles were slow and rough.
3 PM: Hit the garage gym for just some Bro Lifting... Chest and Bi's... did not want to but felt much better afterwards which seems to always be the case. 55 minutes

Thursday:
9 AM: 8.7 miles averaging 7:40pace. Easy combo of Costco loop and Dirty Bizmark trails. This run turned out great. Will be doing this route more often now that a lot of the Dirty Bizmark is open (except Marshall Mesa, was turned onto the road there).
Leaving for Crested Butte at 3pm this afternoon. Not sure if we are starting the Grand Traverse Ski or not. Doesn't seem we are as of right now but either way it is going to be a great weekend away in the hills.
Friday:
Noon: Hike to The Caves which was just about 2 miles from the house we were staying at. Only hiked 1.4 miles but got in 1100ft of climbing in there. Took us about 1.5 hours but that was because we were climbing around in caves and arches there.
Afternoon/Evening: Went into town to explore some. Ended up finding a cool coffee shop, brewery, Bones tacos, and ending up at a polka party until late. Little to much to drink. Ha!
Saturday:
9 AM: 6.1 miles averaging 8:20pace w/ 600ft of vert. Easy cruise from the house in South Crested Butte up a dirt road heading up the canyon and back. Just easy, chill and getting some movement in.
11am: 4.2 miles with 1200ft of vert. Easy snowshoe with Paula off of Kebler Pass outside of Crested Butte. Had so much fun together!
Evening: Heading over to watch the start of the Grand Traverse Ski which started at midnight. Did not start this year due to life getting in the way but was a blast seeing them go off. If you think about it next time you see Paula, ask her about the Free Air Guitar sign in the photo above.
Sunday:
Nothing today. Stayed up late last night watching the Grand Traverse Ski start which started at midnight. By the time we got back to the house and to bed it was after 2am. Slept in, checked out of the house and spent the whole day just taking our time on the way home stopping a couple of times for brunch and beer.
