Log for the week of 6/16-6/22

This week was about getting back to around 60 miles after taking a recovery week last week. I also had the Mount Evans Ascent this Saturday which is one of my favorite runs. I just love the scenery and the elevation gain in this race. Here is how the week broke out.

Monday: Run 6 miles on the Treadmill

Tuesday: Run 6 miles on the road then run 1.5 miles on the treadmill; Lift weights with Ashley for 45 mins.

Wednesday: Run 6 miles at Green Mountain with the Weds 4:15pm group of DTR

Thursday: Run 8.25 miles at Green Mountain, hit the summit 2X, then ride the bike for 30 mins after the run.

Friday: OFF

Saturday: Run Mount Evans Ascent (14.5 miles, 4500 feet of gain) in 2:46.

Sunday: Run 14.5 miles to Morrison and back. Really hot outside and had lots of problems with the heat on the way home.

TOTAL MILES FOR THE WEEK: 56.75
TOTAL HOURS FOR THE WEEK: 11

The Mount Evans race is one of my favorites and I thought I would share some pictures with you enjoy!



Next week's goal is to hit 70 or more miles which should not be hard. i am going to Leadville to run and climb on Thursday and will not be home until Monday night. Have a great week everyone!
