1st American Mount Everest Summit

It was 50 years ago today that an American stood on the summit of Everest.  This 1963 Life magazine is one of my prized things that I have.  I also have the 1953 Life magazine from the 1st ever Everest summit.  They are a great read,  I am willing to loan them out for good beer.
