Hurt 100- Starting the year off right
Well that was a hell of a way to kick of the New Year! I waited to long to write up this race report so it is going to be more a photo dump than a true race report but running is boring to write about anyways. Out of the 9 100s that I have started and the other dozen or so that I have paced and/or crewed I would put Hurt up there as the best race that I have been a part of. The organization is top notch from the race director, to the aid stations, to the course itself. The whole time Donnie was pacing me he just kept saying, "this is retarded" which the course kind of is between the rocks/roots and the vertical gain. Hopefully this photo/video dump will show you what I am referring too. Anyways, finished in 30:58 for my slowest 100 time but 17th place which shows you how retarded this course really is. Makes me wonder what I can do on this course if I actually trained for it verses jumping in 3 weeks before. Might just have to give it a shot again in the future. Enjoy the photos and if you have any questions on the course feel free to drop me a line.
