August Numbers and Photo catch up

Thought I would throw up a quick review of August before the fun starts in a few days up here in Steamboat which should be interesting considering that I have been sick for the last week and burned out for the past 3 weeks.

Been a solid month based on the numbers that I ran even though it did not feel like it.  Did not feel like I did any real training this month but the numbers seem reflect something different.  So I guess we will see how it all plays out in a few days.  See below for the breakdown of the month.

Not quite as much bike riding as I wanted but solid overall.  Been a fun month with focusing mostly on helping Rebecca get through Leadwoman anyway that I could, she rocked it of course, and the first cyclocross race of the season in which I DNFed due to flatting so many times.   Here are some of the better shots from the month.

My 3-4 times a week before work view on my morning runs in Boulder on Flagstaff Mountain.  Spend a lot of time on Flagstaff and Green this month.

Rebecca's LT100 MTB- she rocked it.

LT100 Run Fun-- Rebecca got her first 100 run finish,  during Leadwoman.  HOT DAMN!!  Super proud friend here for sure after seeing what she had to push aka suffer through to get this done.  Hell of a lot more than I did last year that is for sure.  Congrats again RBA!

Even got to see this guy in Breckenridge on his birthday!!!!  Yes that is my dad...  Happy birthday again dad!

And of course the month would not be complete without the DNF cyclocross race which took place at 9000ft at the top of Coal Creek Canyon.  Damn hard going balls to the wall that high.  Thanks Bryan for the photos!!  Super excited not to run anymore after this weekend and just race bikes for the next 3 months.

It has been a super busy month in August for me and I am tired.   I just hope that it does not come back to bite me in the ass in a couple days time as I line up for the Hares race of Run Rabbit Run 100 run in Steamboat.  I would like to be able to match or exceed my performance earlier in the summer that I had at Bighorn but I am just going to go with what the day gives me.  Main goal is just to get it done in under 30 hours and get another buckle.  Like I said at the beginning of this post, I have been sick for about a week and mentally burned out for longer so it should be interesting.  Wish me luck and see ya on the other side!
